The album stems from Hans’s incredible passion for all harder styles, a love that dates back to his youth. Over the years, he has listened to, collected, and studied vast amounts of music, giving him a deep knowledge and understanding of the genres. This expertise is evident in Back2Basics, where he combines classic influences with his own modern vision. Each track is a collaboration with leading artists and legends from each subgenre: from happy hardcore legends Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo, hardstyle pioneers Deepack & Luna, to raw hardstyle heavyweight E-Force. Vocal legends like Jebroer and no fewer than five female vocalists, including his own wife, also contribute to the album.
